In the light of my upcoming age,
I've decided to throw out the gauge,
Of time in the counting of years,
And count only the laughter and tears.
To not care for the wrinkles and sags,
How much I’m like those in mags.
But as a flash of a flicker of light,
Or a soft wind that sighs in the night,
I am here for too short a while,
To carry the burdens of style.
